I have had a constant rough idle with a bubbling sound it seems to be a lttle quieter when I put the tranny in neutral. Have had it checked out by the chevy mechanic 2x and nothing has been found? What could it be and should I take it to another chevy repair shop??\ Thanks

I have a 1997 chevy Malibu's' with a similar problem. First off I bought the car cash in hand off a dealership. No warranty as is with a bra which just so happened to be covering a big dent in the hood. Two months after I got it I had it in the shop for routine maintenance radiator flush fill oil and tranny fluid change. Next thing I know the water pump is leaking like a sive. Month four I notice a rough idle seems to go away when I hit the gas a little the idle levels out for a Month. Now nothing can stop this racket and my remote start does no good when I have to warm the car up before using it. When I punch the gas during idle the vehicle seems to make a very metallic sound from the exaughst system.
